Welcome to Carlson Tennis in Mound/Westonka.  We will be hosting all of our programs at the Mound/Westonka High School courts which gives us an abundant amount of space with 9 courts available.  Our goal is to Grow The Game from our youngest players up while working closely with our current high school players.  This is a great time for tennis and we are happy to offer our programs and build a tennis tradition and culture.  In the Winter of 2012 we offered our first indoor Stars Program at the Grandview Middle School and it was a great success as we had over 30 kids participating with our Spring Break Camp still ahead of us.  With a  new program comes a lot of questions.  Please contact Dan Carlson with any questions, suggestions or help navigating our website at 612.875.5507 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Our summer program is split into two programs, the Stars Program and the Competitive Program.  This summer we will have multiple 2 week sessions instead of one week camps to help sustain what the kids are learning.

Grandview Middle School

The Westonka Stars Tennis Program is run by Carlson Tennis and is designed to provide a pathway for kids to learn how to play tennis in a positive and exciting atmosphere and then apply it in match play.

All camps are held at the Grandview Middle School Gym.

Little Stars (Ages 4-6)

This class is for our youngest players and will focus on agility, balance, and coordination. Movement and tracking skills will give the kids the ability to properly handle a racquet and ball.
Sundays 1-1:45 PM January 8-February 5 $65 (no class on January 22)
Sundays 1-1:45 PM February 12-March 4 $65
Monday-Thursday 11-11:45 am March 12-15 $65

Rising Stars (Ages 7-8)

This class will focus on rallying the ball back and forth while working on technique and tactics. We want these kids lesson and the final day will be full of games and competitions.
Sundays 1:45-2:45 PM January 8-February 5 $75 (no class on January 22)
Sundays 1:45-2:45 PM February 12-March 4 $75
Monday-Thursday 11:45 am-12:45 PM March 12-15 $75

Future Stars (Ages 9-11)

This class will focus on rally play from the first day. Our emphasis is on getting kids to understand the fundamentals of the forehand and backhand groundstrokes, volleys and serves.
